4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari

DAY 1: Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, with the help of our tour guide, drive towards the west from Kampala and have a stop over at the equator for photographs. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following overlooking the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. A game drive en route may be reward you with views of Elephants, hippos, Buffaloes, Hyenas, lions and a variety of Antelope species. Enjoy the unique evening 2-hour boat cruise experience on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. The Kazinga Channel boasts of a high concentration of hippos and buffaloes along its banks. The Channel, also, is a natural magnet for water birds, and in the vicinity of Mweya, acts as a migrant trap for birds moving along the Albertine Rift Valley. Queen Elizabeth national park because of its remarkable diversity of habitats has a bird list of over 550 species, the largest of any protected area in Africa.

Day 2: Viewing tree-climbing lions in Ishasha

After a cup of coffee undertake an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens Mile in the park in expectation of Lions, Elephants, cape buffalo, Warthogs, leopard, hyena, mongoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topi and lots many small animals and birds. After lunch proceed to Bwindi through Ishasha in search of tree-climbing lions and arrive in the evening in Bwindi.

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Safari

After an early morning breakfast transfer to the park headquarters at Buhoma for registration and briefing by the park authorities before undertaking the gorilla trek at 8.30 am. Then with the help of the porters and the game rangers you will follow the gorilla trails deep into the thick and lush tropical rainforest. It may take you between an hour and eight hours to encounter the mountain gorillas. Though strenuous, mountain gorilla trek is a memorable wildlife experience for anyone adventuring in Africa. Day 4: Return to Kampala
After breakfast before drive back to Kampala. Make a stop-over in Mbarara for your lunch. Arrive in Kampala in the evening.
