13 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI

Day 1 Murchison Falls National Park Uganda (4-6 hours)
After an early breakfast, set out for Murchison Falls national park via Masindi town arrive at the park. It is named because of the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the world’s longest river detonates fervently through a tapered crevice in the Rift Valley escarpment to thrust into a foaming pool 43m below.   Along the way , you will visit the Zziwa rhino sanctuary .  This sanctuary was set up  to reintroduce rhinoceros to Uganda which had become extinct in  1982.   This 70 square kilometer sanctuary in an immaculate bush country is currently home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda.  The long term goal is to build a sustainable rhino population and move rhinos back to their original habitat in Uganda have protected areas.  Wildlife populations have largely recovered from the poaching of the 1980s; in the lush borassus grassland to the north of the Nile, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and a variety of antelope are regularly encountered on game drives, while lion are seen with increasing incidence.  Visit the top of the falls. You will   have an opportunity to see the Nile’s beauty perfected as you watch the Nile water fall into a 45 meter plunge, forming a rainbow. And then later your will retire for dinner and over night at

Day 2 Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Early in the morning, you will take a cup of coffee and then go for a game drive where you will encounter Giraffes, Lions, Elephants, baboons, and a number of different antelopes.  Return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast and then later in the after noon , In the after lunch go for a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile upstream to the base of the Murchison falls. Expected are Hippos, crocodiles, Water bucks, and a wide variety of bird species. Reach the “Devils Cauldron” where you will take a clear view of the majestic falls.  Return for dinner and over night at your lodge.

Day 3 Kibale National Park Uganda ( 7-8 hours)
Travel to Kibale Forest national park from Murchison Falls national Park.   The drive takes you through the verdant country side of the Albertine Escarpment.  The drive will take you through the village of Kagadi and Hoima with lunch en route.dinner and overnight at(Budget) – Chimps nest (Moderate) – Primates Lodge Kanyankyu Cottages /Rwenzori  View Guest House

Day 4 Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Early morning breakfast and then trek the Kibale Forest to search for Man’s closet cousins the Chimpanzees .(persons must be of a minimum age of 15 years). The forest is also home to other primates like grey cheeked mangabeys, baboons and vervet monkeys. . In the after noon, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park. You will visit the crater lakes region and then transfer for dinner and over night at Hippo Hill Camp

Day5 Game Drive and launch cruise
Wake up early in the mornings and take cup of tea or coffee.  Go for a  game drive along Kasenyi track to see the herds of Buffalo, Elephant, Warthog and Lion. Return to the lodge for mid morning break fast. After lunch, a two-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga channel offers visitors a unique opportunity to encounter at close quarters hippo and a variety of bird species common to the park. The prolific bird life is colorful and astonishing with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at Hippo hill camp.

DAY 6 PROCEED TO THE JUNGLE OF BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
After breakfast drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through picturesque panorama where the overriding topography is of terraced farmland and deep valleys. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Camp or Lake Kitandara tented camp (Luxury) or Buhoma Rest camp.

DAY 7 GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
At the Buhoma Headquarters of the Uganda Wildlife Authority a ranger guide will brief you about Gorilla trekking protocol. You should carry a packed lunch and water for this activity. The time taken to track gorillas is erratic for it can take 2- 10 hours. This is the one of the unique tour activities that Uganda has. And on encounter of these gorillas, one may be forced to say; it is a worthwhile!!!! Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 8 to Kisoro
After breakfast depart for kisoro, stopping at the Kanaba gap to view the Virunga volcanoes and terraced hills, visit Lake Mutanda and take a wake at its shores. Stay in Kisoro for a night and relax your tiered legs.Moderate – Travelers Rest Kisoro /

Day 9 Another day of Gorilla tracking (optional at US$ 500- subject to booking in Advance)
Track gorillas (subject to the availability of gorilla permits at the time of booking). Alternatively, go for birding, caving. Hill walking, caldera climb, and pygmy (Batwa) visit or simply relax at the hotel.

Day 10 Proceed to Lake Mburo NP
Very early in the morning, given the little time, take breakfast, then have a drive of 4 hours to Lake Mburo National Park. A game drive today will enable us to see the zebras, topes, elephants, elands, impalas, buffaloes antelopes, among others. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Bandas

Day 11 Tour to Ssese Island
After breakfast set off to the Ssese Islands via Masaka and arrive on time at the Bukakata ferry destined for Bugala Island.Stay overnight and enjoy the Lake breeze at Ssese Palm Beach Resort/ Ssese habitat Resort / Mirembe Resort.

Day 12   Ssese Island
Enjoy the stunning sunrise and after breakfast go bird watching and morning forest walk. Look out for primates like monkeys, a prolific variety of water and forest birds including; Hornbill, Turaco, Flycatcher, weaver, Fish Eagle, and colorful butterflies. In the afternoon that is after lunch set for Busaka on a motorized boat for bird watching by the water fall. Relax on the white sand beaches then tour the Island.

Day 13 Transfer to Entebbe
In the morning set for Entebbe by the early morning ferry. Have lunch and then later you will be transferred for your next flight back home.
