7 Days Rwanda Tour - Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzee Trekking, Culture and Genocide Memorial Sites Tour

Day 1: Transfer to Kigali.
Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda; the country of a thousand hills. We will have our guide transfer you from the airport and take you around for a city tour or relax at Intercontinental Hotel. Later you will be picked up for a transfer to Ruhengeri. (3 hrs) Take dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Hotel/ Kinigi House.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
Early morning you will take a hot cup of coffee and proceed to gorilla tracking in Volcanoes Park at 0900 hours. Accessing the mountain gorillas may take you between 2 to 8 hours. In the evening you and visit the Lake Kivu or the great Dian Fossey site. After a long day retire back for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Next Hotel/Kinigi Guest House. 

Day 3: Primates tour to Nyungwe Forest.
After a hot cup of coffee transfer to Nyungwe (8hrs) and stay an overnight at Gisakura Guest House/ ORPTN. Nyungwe forest National Park is famous for its bird life and different primates such as chimps, black and white colobus monkeys among others.

Day 4: Forest Nature walk
After breakfast undertake a forest walk in search of primates and birds.  You are likely to see rare golden monkeys, L'Hoest monkeys and chimpanzees retire back to dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House/ORPTN.

Day 5: Cultural Museum and Genocide sites visiting.
After breakfast, visit Butare Museum, the Botanical Gardens, a cultural museum, genocide site( so much to learn about the Rwanda genocide which left thousands of people dead) and handicraft shops. Proceed to Kigali for your lunch, dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel / Intercontinental Hotel.

Day 6: Akagera Wildlife tour.
After Breakfast transfer to Akagera wildlife Park. Carry out a game drive in search of savannah wildlife.  Have dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge.

Day 7: End of Rwanda Tour.
After a morning game drive return to Kigali for your flight back to your home country.
