4 Day Nyungwe Chimpanzee Safari Rwanda Primates Tour

Day 1: arrival at Kigali airport

Be picked from your Hotel and start by driving south for Nyungwe Forest. Drive further southwards visit the Old King's palace in Nyanza. Drive past green hills of tea and the vast Nyungwe Forest. Check in at ORTPN / Gisakura Guest House (FB).

Day 2: Nature walk in the forest

Carryout a nature walk in search of the primates such as large groups of Rwenzori colobus, golden monkeys, LHoest monkey and other animals such as  elephants, buffalos, duikers, antelopes and the smaller predators like the serval cats, golden cat. Nyungwe is also a vital ornithological site among Rwanda's parks it is highly embowered with birdlife and birders would find it quite an interesting site. Retire back to ORTPN /Gisakura Guest House (FB).

Day 3:chimp trekking
Early morning wake up for breakfast and prepare to go for chimpanzee tracking. As you trek through the montane forest hook up with our closest relatives and spend some time with them as you recognize the similarities we have in common.  Return to hotel for lunch and later proceed to a guided nature walk in the forest. Spend the night at ORTPN /Gisakura Guest House (FB).

Day 4: Return to Kigali.

After your last breakfast at Nyungwe National park return to Kigali. Visit the cultural museum in Butare enroute. Transfer to Kigali or to the airport for your home bound flight.
