5 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Tour

This is a 5 days gorilla safari in Uganda and Rwanda.This trip takes you for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Mountain GorillasImpenetrable Forest (Uganda) and Parc Nationale des Volcans (in Rwanda) for the gorilla trekking. These two places have got different habituated mountain gorilla groups.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala - Bwindi Forest
An early start from Kampala after your Breakfast takes you southwest Uganda by road with your guide, cross the Equator, and then to Mbarara for Lunch and through Savannah grasslands to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic drive through Kigezi Highlands known as the Switzerland of Uganda, banana plantations and heads of Ankole cattle take you to the gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Have early morning breakfast and after a short briefing by the guides, proceed through the undergrowth and thick creepers of the dense rain forest to track for these endangered mammals. Sitting with the most peaceful, rarest and endangered of all the apes, is a fascinating experience. After 1 hour allowed with the giants, return to the lodge.
In case you have the afternoon free, have a guided village walk to nearby communities to see and experience the different aspects of Ugandan lives, cultures and lifestyles.

Day 3: Leave for Rwanda
After breakfast leave for Rwanda. Have the afternoon to relax at your lodge, having beautiful views of panoramic sunset over the volcanoes.

Day 4: Rwanda Gorilla Tracking in PNV
After early breakfast to give you energy for the mountain gorilla trekking tour experience, go for gorilla tracking tours in Parc National des Volcans. Sitting with the gentle giants is a fascinating experience. Tracking the gorillas through thick vegetation and creepers the on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience and return to your lodge for lunch.

Day 5: Leave for Kampala
The day begins with an early breakfast and after breakfast return to Kampala at your own convenience. Lunch en-route.
