15 Days Group Gorilla Safari Uganda Rwanda Group Gorilla Tour.

This 15 days (14 nights) safari will begin and finish in Kampala. You will visit different fantastic places some of which include; Bujagali, Ngamba Island, Murchison Falls, Kibale N.P, Queen Elizabeth National Park with its attractive flora and fauna, Bwindi Forest for gorillas and chimpanzees, Kisoro, Lake Bunyonyi and many others.

Your accommodation facilities will be at the following hotels. You will have 2 nights at Gorilla Nest Camp, 2 night at Hotel Africana, 2 nights at Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp, 2 nights at tree house at Kanyanchu Tourist centre, 2 nights at Mweya safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge, 2 nights at Buhoma Home stead, 1 night at Arcadia Cottages in Kisoro and 2 nights at Gorilla nest Camp in Rwanda and this will mark the end of your safari.

Tour Itinerary for this 15 days group gorilla safari.
Day 1: Jinja-Uganda
You will be picked by our safari guide or driver from the Airport. He will drive you safely to Jinja and you will spend the whole day enjoying white water rafting on the World high grade rapids of the Mighty Nile-the World’s second longest river. On the side of the Falls, you will spare 25 minutes for lunch and later head back to Kampala for dinner and over night at Hotel Africana.

Day 2: Ngamba Island-uganda Chimpanzees. 
You will wake up and have breakfast, then drive to Entebbe to take up your boat to Ngamba Island Chimp sanctuary. You will have a chance to encounter chimpanzee feeding at 2pm. This is one of the most exciting activities in Ngamba Island, infact you should not run away from them because they are charming and welcoming animals. In the evening, you will relax or you can decide to walk around such that in the evening you are back to your Lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking.
You want to see young chimps? You will have your morning breakfast and then have a walk in search for the young orphaned chimps. You will look for these young chimps with the help of our guide. Have lunch and board a boat to Entebbe from where the guide will collect you to drive you to Kampala for over night stay.

Day 4: Murchison Falls Tour Uganda.
You will drive northwards to Murchison Falls National Park after breakfast. The park is located in the north-western part of the country. This charming drive will pass you through the famous battle zone of the Luwero Triangle. You will have a lunch stop over at Masindi town and then proceed to the Murchison Falls, the most beautiful falls on the river Nile. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chili Rest Camp.

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise.
You will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and then transfer for a morning game drive on the southern banks of the river. The morning drive will take you through different habitats. On the drive, you will clear to see different animals which include giraffes, Hartebeest, Elephants, Bushbucks, Lion, Jackal and many others. After lunch, you will carry out a launch cruise and will view concentration of Hippos on the banks of the river. For the birders, a variety of birds will be present such as the Pel’s Fishing-Owl, king fishers. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge /Red Chili Rest Camp.

Day 6: Mountains of the moon-Rwenzori.
You will have breakfast and then drive southwards via Hoima to Fort Portal through the verdant countryside and pass traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal is found in the shadow of the fabled 'Mountains of the Moon'. This place is an attraction to almost all the tourists who come to Uganda and perhaps it’s a must that if you come to Uganda, you have to go and see this Mountains of the moon. In the evening, you will have dinner and overnight at the tree house at Kanyanchu Tourist centre.

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale.
 I t is always a gorgeous day for chimpanzees tracking so you will wake up early in the morning, have break fast and then head to the  park headquarters for the chimpanzee briefing by the forest guide. You are entitled to be quite such that you are able to listen to their pant-hooting calls, and then hustle to the area from which they are calling. Because you went with your packed lunch, you will then have a break of about 30 minutes to take what you have. After lunch, you will head to Bigodi swamp for a walk, where you will see more primates such as the red colobus, black and white colobus and the red-tailed monkey. Over 138 different bird life including the great blue turaco, plant species, and butterflies will be seen in the forest. Dinner and over night ata tree house in Kyambura.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a game drive while entering the park and you will be welcomed by several animals like; warthogs, antelope species, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, and elephants. On your arrival, have lunch and proceed for the launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Different animals that come to drink water at the channel and water birds will be viewed along the shores. After your lunch, you will visit Lake Katwe to see the salt factory and the local methods of making it. Later in the evening, you will transfer back for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Game drive and launch cruise.
You will have your morning breakfast and then go for a Game drive to catch up with the early risers and predator returning to their conceal outs. This drive will reward you with game like Lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, bush bucks, bush pigs, and many more. You will retire from the game drive for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon you will go track chimps in the Kyambura gorge. This walk will aid you see other primates like the colobus monkeys, baboons and others. Your dinner and overnight will be at Mweya Safari Lodge / jacana Lodge.

Day 10: Kyambura Gorge-Bwindi.
You are expected to have your breakfast and then head to Kyambura gorge for chimp tracking in the rain forest. Even if you fail to see the chimps, the forest walk itself is rewarding and memorable! Drive through the 'Switzerland of Africa area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Kisoro or Bwindi. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Home stead.

Day 11: Gorilla tracking.
This is one of the most exciting activity at Bwindi, so you will also welcome it with getting up early for breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and enter the forest in search for gorillas. The guide will brief you and at 9:00 am you will set off to the forest for these apes. The time you will take searching these humble apes in unpredictable however it ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. The activity requires you to go through steep rocks climbing up and down making it tiresome however; the thrill of encountering these giant primates erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them. An astounding experience. Dinner and over night at Buhoma homestead. 

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast and then drive to Kabale a region known as the 'Switzerland of Africa' with beautiful terraced landscape and rolling hills and valleys. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages.

Day 13: Boat ride to connect to Kisoro.
After breakfast, we do a boat ride inside Lake Bunyonyi to various islands inside the lake for bird viewing and sight seeing. Return to the Resort for lunch. After lunch the guide will drive you to Kisoro and cross the border. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla nest Camp in Rwanda. B, L, D.

Day 14: Trek the Dian Fossey Mountain Gorillas.
This time round, you will probably get up early for your breakfast such that you get set for Virunga volcanoes for another trek of the Dian Fossey Mountain gorillas. There after lunch, (Option) visit the Karisoke Research Centre where Dian Fossey spent 20 years studying gorillas. In Rwanda, this is one of the most well known places for Gorillas so you will indeed be unfair to your self if you do not take time to come with a camera to take some of the gorilla pictures and in different positions. After enjoying this activity, you will head back to Gorilla Nest Camp for your dinner and over night.

Day 15: Departure.
You will have an early morning breakfast and then transfer to Kigali for your international flight at Kanombe international airport. Alternatively we drive back to Uganda for your flight at Entebbe international airport. This will depend on your flight schedule. Book now
