9 Days Uganda Cultural Tour, Bunyoro Tooro Uganda Culture

Day 1: Entebbe-Hotel
On arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver/guide who will then transfer you to Kampala for overnight either at Serena Hotel, Fairway Hotel (low Budget accommodation).

Day 2: Kampala – Hoima
After an early breakfast, leave for Hoima district, driving through a beautiful green vegetation cover. Have a stop over at Mparu tombs before reaching Hoima town. Mparu tombs are royal burial grounds for Bunyoro traditional kings; this place is famous known in Bunyoro kingdom because it was chosen by Omukama (King) Kabalega to be his capital in 1872. Overnight at either Koloping house (high end classic accommodation) or African Village Guest Farm. Approximate driving time is 5-6 hours.

Day 3: Hoima Cultural Tour
After breakfast, Visit Bujumbura Cathedral, Duhaga cathedral, Katasiha Fort and Karuzika palace (Bunyoro Kingdom palace), get to know the origin of Bunyoro kingdom. Lunch break at your hotel. After lunch break you will be entertained by Entogoro cultural dancing group. Overnight at either Koloping house (high end classic accommodation) or African Village Guest Farm (medium class hotel).

Day 4: Hoima – Fort Portal
After early breakfast, drive to Fort Portal at leisure. Stop at Mukwano Tea Estate for photos. Arrive late evening and transfer to either Mountains of the moon Hotel (high end Classic accommodation), or Rwenzori guest view house (low budget accommodation).

Day 5: Fort portal Cultural Adventure
Early morning, visit the Toro kingdom palace and Karambi tombs. The palace is built on famous Kabarole hill over looking the beautiful historical Fort portal town. Relax for lunch at your Hotel. In the afternoon drive to the historical sites of Amabere ganyimnawiru ancient caves. If time permits, there is an option of hill climbing on Nyakasura hills where you will have a magnificent view of Saaka crater lakes. Return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Fort Portal – Kampala
After breakfast, depart Fort Portal via the pretty little town of Mubende set in rolling hills. Make a stop over at the splendid Nakayima cultural tree known to be 400 hundred years old worshipped by local people and thought to be holding the spirit of an ancient Bahwezi King. Picnic lunch en route and continue to Kampala. Arrive late afternoon. Overnight at either Serena Hotel,/ Grand Imperial Hotel,/ Royal Capital Palace Hotel /Fairway Hotel (low Budget accommodation).

Day 7: Kampala – Jinja
Start with Ssezibwa falls; you will get an opportunity to see the child born river which has belongs to the Kabaka’s heritage trail. Nature walks in Mabira Forest. Continue to Jinja Source of River Nile and the spectacular Bujagali Falls. Return to Kampala late evening for dinner and overnight.
