Safari itinerary - 6 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Kampala - Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast depart from Kampala for Queen Elizabeth national park making a stop over in Mbarara town for lunch.
Arrive in the afternoon and take a launch cruise at Kazinga channel a home for most water birds and animals like the hippos, buffaloes, and different antelope species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge
Report at Kyambura gorge by 8:00am after breakfast and track the habituated chimps. Then proceed to Maramagambo Forest for a guided forest walk. Visit the Bat Cave where the pythons feast on the millions of bats in the cave. In the evening visit Katwe salt industry - the oldest in Uganda or take an evening game drive to Ishasha in expectation of seeing the tree climbing lions and many other animals. Dinner and overnight at Mweya / Jacana Safari Lodge

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth- Semuliki national park
After breakfast, transfer to Semuliki Game Reserve just situated in the basin of the Western Rift Valley.  The park is breathtaking especially for birders, primate, and butterfly and plant lovers. Chimps exist next to elephant, lion and buffalo as well as the usual western Uganda species.

Semuliki has one of the most diverse habitats in Africa with wonderful examples of Riparian forest, gallery rain forest, borassus palm forest, and short and high grass savannas. Undertake a night game drive in search of nocturnals such as the white-tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and pennant-winged nightjars depending on the time of year. Dinner and overnight at Semuliki Lodge

Day 4: Semuliki - Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast visit Sempaya Hot Springs. Transfer to Murchison Falls national park via agricultural homesteads and traversing the Great Albertine Rift arriving at the top of the falls in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Red Chilli Camp

Day 5: Murchison Falls Wildlife Trip
After an early breakfast, go for a game drive. Wildlife includes elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, oribis and waterbucks, etc.
After lunch a boat cruise which gives an exciting panoramic view of the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. At the banks of Murchison Falls you will be able to see and photograph crocodiles, hippos, and birds like kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Red Chilli Camp

Day 6: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, have a guided nature walk in Budongo forest for chimps trekking and birding of some rarities and then return to Kampala.
